With the hyacinth, you bring not only beautiful flowers into your garden, but also a touch of Greek mythology. Hyacinth is the Latin form of the Greek word Huakinthos. According to Greek mythology, Huakinthos was loved by the sun god Apollo. He was fatally wounded during a discus throw, and from his flowing blood grew a flower, which Apollo named after Huakinthos. Blue Trophy Hyacinth flowers have a striking dark blue colour and a delightful fragrance. Hyacinths are easy to combine for a versatile garden. The hyacinth will reach a height of around 20 to 30 cm. Plant the bulbs between September and December, and you can start celebrating spring in April when the flowers are in full bloom.
