Additional Information
Support your lactation
Fenugreek supports milk production. A study shows that the dose contained in 2 squares doubles milk volume. A little reminder, mama: Galactagogues are not essential for breastfeeding. The first thing to do is put your baby to the breast on demand
Anti-fatigue
Bananachoc is a source of magnesium, which helps reduce fatigue.
A healthy snack to meet your needs
One snack contains 206 kcal, half of the extra energy needed when breastfeeding, and is naturally rich in fibre and a source of omega-3. It helps curb cravings as it contains oats to keep you full.
Breastfeeding: yes
Important for all mums: foods that promote lactation are not essential while breastfeeding. If your milk supply drops, put your baby to the breast on demand and consult an IBCLC lactation consultant.
Postpartum: yes, but
Be careful when using galactagogues like fenugreek right after birth to avoid engorgement. Putting baby to the breast is the best way to encourage your milk coming in.
Pregnancy: NO
Not recommended for pregnant women due to the presence of fenugreek.
Medical: CAUTION
People with diabetes should not take fenugreek without medical supervision, especially if they are taking blood sugar-lowering medication. People on anticoagulant treatments should also refrain from taking supplements containing fenugreek. For an alternative, try our fenugreek-free Milk Moonies.
