The silk square is one of those accessories we think of as merely accessories, until they become the signature of a silhouette. This one offers a particularly understated interpretation: the Monogram is not printed but woven, tone on tone, into the very body of the silk. The motif appears only from certain angles, when the light catches the relief of the jacquard. It is a logo that is sensed rather than announced — exactly what one looks for when wanting the house without the statement.
The silk is supple and dense, with a very soft, silky feel, and the edges are hand-rolled — this rolled and hand-stitched finish gives silk squares their characteristic drape and slight raised edge. The warm, deep camel colourway makes it an easy neutral: it can be worn with black, white, denim, browns and creams. The 88 × 88 cm format is the most versatile of all — large enough to drape over the shoulders, yet supple enough to tie around the neck, at the waist, in the hair or onto a bag handle.
