Ficus Lyrata – Houseplant

Have you met the fiddle-leaf fig yet? This Ficus lyrata is an attractive, low-maintenance green houseplant. It owes its name to its violin-shaped oval leaves. Its leaves have wavy edges, with a glossy, dark green upper surface and a light green underside. It is a vigorous grower and sometimes needs support – a bamboo cane works wonderfully. Avoid placing it in direct sunlight, as its leaves could get scorched.

Care

- Watering: Low water requirements: summer: water with a third of the pot every 2 weeks; winter: water with a third of the pot every 8 to 12 weeks.

- Position: Prefers partial shade and dislikes direct sunlight. We recommend placing the plant about 2 to 3 metres from a window, provided it is north-facing (requiring 3 to 5 hours of sunlight per day).

- Care: Do not overwater the ficus, as this can cause root rot. Only water when the potting soil is dry to the touch. In addition, this plant appreciates a humid environment, so mist it occasionally with a plant mister.

If the plant is defective (damaged in transit, wrong model received), you have 7 days to contact our customer service. Beyond this period, no refund will be issued. These are living plants subject to transit. A small amount of soil may come loose from the pot during transport. This does not constitute grounds for a refund.

Please note that these products cannot be delivered to islands. Any order with a delivery address on an island (e.g. Corsica, Île de Ré, etc.) will be cancelled.

The plant is delivered in a nursery pot. Upon receipt, it should be repotted into a pot approximately 20% larger than the initial nursery pot.
