Chosen by Céline Vipiana in 1971 to become the definitive emblem of her house, the Triomphe crest is directly inspired by the chains surrounding the Arc de Triomphe in Paris — a heraldic silhouette with interlocking motifs, both classic and instantly identifiable. This ornamental vocabulary permeated the house’s entire output, from ready-to-wear and accessories to leather goods and jewellery, and has enjoyed a real resurgence in recent seasons, driven by the vintage Céline wave. This necklace is a particularly refined interpretation: a gold-plated regular link chain, punctuated at spaced intervals with 1 cm Triomphe medallions, each set with two clear rhinestones that catch the light with every movement. The signed and hallmarked lobster clasp at the medallion guarantees original manufacture — made in Italy, like most of the house’s jewellery from that period. A particularly versatile 60 cm length, long enough to fall beautifully over the sternum and short enough to remain visible over an open white shirt or plain T-shirt.
