What is sonic technology and how is it different from traditional electric toothbrushes?

The sonic technology in MyVariations toothbrushes differs from oscillating-rotating technology (historically more common on the toothbrush market). Just like the adult model, the head features soft nylon bristles; we have also added a rubber section to the children's brush heads for extra safety.

From what age can my child use this toothbrush?

The MyVariations Kids toothbrush is recommended for children from the age of 3 up to around 12 years old. Beyond that, they can switch straight to the adult model! For a child aged 9–10 and over, it is possible to switch directly to the adult model. For a younger child or baby, please remember that dentists recommend baby teeth brushing be carried out by an adult.

Can Kids brush heads be fitted onto adult handles?

The heads are interchangeable between adult and child brushes; however, we don't really recommend it, as the children's toothbrushes are truly 100% designed for little ones. The head is different, smaller and genuinely adapted to children, but the handle is also lighter, smaller, and easier for small hands to hold. 🤗 In addition, the brushing modes on the Kids brush are designed for young children aged 3 and over. Brushing needs to be gentler than for adults: the 2 modes on the Kids brush are even gentler than the “Sensitive” mode on the adult brush. 😉 This truly avoids exposing little ones' gums and teeth to brushing that might be a bit too powerful. Finally, for children aged 9–10 and over, it is also possible to switch directly to the adult brush!

Are brush heads from other brands compatible?

Brush heads sold by other brands are not compatible with the MyVariations toothbrush. MyVariations brush heads are fitted with thousands of Dupont nylon bristles, specially designed to remove dental plaque, and are recommended by UFSBD dental surgeons.

I have sensitive teeth and gums, can I use the MyVariations toothbrush?

Absolutely! The MyVariations toothbrush is 100% suitable for people with sensitive teeth and gums. The 5 different brushing modes allow everyone to find the one that suits them best. We recommend using the sensitive teeth brushing mode (red) to start with. The brush can also be used in cases of gingivitis/periodontitis. In addition, for tooth and/or gum sensitivity, the Sensitive toothpaste can also provide relief.

What are the different brushing modes (adult brush)?

The different modes allow each user to find the one that suits them best, thanks to slightly different vibration frequencies and varied bristle movement ranges. There are 5:

• White (blue): the most powerful mode, with the highest movement frequency, providing a slightly more vigorous clean, especially for those who develop a lot of dental plaque.
• Clean (green): the “normal” mode, with a medium movement frequency, providing very effective cleaning.
• Sensitive (red): slightly less powerful with the lowest movement frequency, it is particularly suitable for people with sensitive gums or teeth; it will be even gentler than the other modes while remaining super effective. 😉
• Polish (flashing blue): helps “smooth” and polish the tooth surface for extra shine by alternating between the two highest movement frequencies; we recommend using it as a finishing touch, alongside a fixed mode, or occasionally.
• Massage (flashing green): this mode helps stimulate gum circulation and improve blood flow, thereby “strengthening” the bond between tooth and gum to prevent gingivitis, or to prevent gum recession from returning, for example. 👍

Which toothpaste should be used with the MyVariations Kids electric toothbrush?

Your child's usual toothpaste is completely fine, provided it does not contain alcohol, essential oils, sodium bicarbonate, or sodium lauryl sulphate. These powerful substances found in some toothpastes can damage and wear out the brush heads. MyVariations Kids toothpaste is also available! A pea-sized dab of toothpaste on the brush and you're good to go! Brushing can begin.

Where are the toothbrushes manufactured?

MyVariations toothbrushes are manufactured in China. When launching, the brand sought to manufacture in France; however, no factory met its requirements for this type of product, and opening its own factory was not feasible at launch. 😔

I feel a tickling sensation during the first few brushes, is this normal?

Absolutely, this is completely normal. The sonic technology in our toothbrushes delivers ultra-effective brushing without damaging teeth and gums thanks to 40,000 vibrations per minute, so your mouth simply needs to get used to this new brushing mode. The tickling sensation disappears after just a few brushes and is quickly replaced by an ultra-clean feeling!

There is a small gap between the body and the head of my brush, is this normal?

All toothbrushes have a small gap (a few millimetres) between the body and the brush head. This is completely normal: this gap ensures that the sonic vibrations of the brush head are not reduced by friction against the brush body.

How long does the battery last?

The MyVariations toothbrush features an ultra-durable battery with a one-month lifespan. You can travel with peace of mind! The Kids brush has a battery life of up to 1 month in Soft mode, and around 3 and a half weeks in Pulse mode.

What is the warranty policy?

The brand offers a 2-year warranty to its customers, in accordance with European regulations. If you subscribe on the website www.myvariations.com to receive brush heads regularly, the warranty is extended for the entire duration of the subscription (see T&Cs on the website).

From what age can the MyVariations toothbrush be used?

It is usually recommended to use the MyVariations adult brush from the age of 9–10, especially if the child is not used to using an electric toothbrush. For younger children, it is recommended to opt for the Kids brush (from 3 up to 12 years old).

How durable are MyVariations brushes and their battery?

The battery in MyVariations toothbrushes has a one-month battery life (compared to 5 to 14 days for a standard electric toothbrush). This excellent performance means you only need to recharge the brush once every 30 days, thereby reducing the number and frequency of charges. This low charging requirement is very beneficial for the overall lifespan of the batteries and ensures great longevity! How do I recharge the toothbrush?

To recharge your MyVariations toothbrush, simply open the small rubber flap located under the brush (using your fingernail or a small flat object) to connect the charging cable to the brush port. Leave the brush to charge for 3–4 hours for a full charge, and you're set for a month of battery life! Don't forget to close the flap securely after charging to restore the brush's water resistance!

Can I use the MyVariations toothbrush in the shower?

Absolutely! MyVariations toothbrushes are waterproof, so you can use them in the shower without any worries. However, take care to close the charging port flap properly to maintain water resistance, and dry them well after use to prevent any cosmetic deterioration of the toothbrush.

Are the brush heads recyclable?
