Description
La Mère, the first ceramic tableware line by Marie Michielssen, is a heartfelt ode to the (grand)maternal figure and to women in general. The collection feels slightly nostalgic, while being innovative in many ways thanks to its vertical structure. Each piece is unique and hand-shaped. All pieces are finished with a glaze in off-white or warm dark brown, almost black. As a third contrasting colour, Marie opted for a powerful Venetian red. The designer also deliberately chose these colours to create a mix & match of white and dark brown or red and dark brown.
