The ultimate summer carré.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e“Feux de Route” is one of Cathy Latham's most elaborate designs for Hermès — a British illustrator who collaborated with the house for several decades and created some of its most collected carrés, including the celebrated “Les Clés”. The “Feux de Route” motif presents a poetic inventory of antique furniture and silverware — candelabras, globes, mirrors, columns — arranged as if in an auction room or cabinet of curiosities. Created in 1971, it was reissued only in 1982 and then in 1995: three editions in fifty years, making it a rare piece in the Hermès catalogue. This colourway of bright pink, sky blue and gold on an ivory background is one of the most sought-after for this motif — luminous and perfectly summery.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis example is in very good condition, grade A.
