A Hermès Carré 90 “Feux de Route” by Cathy Latham in the sunniest colourway imaginable — bright pink, sky blue and gold on a cream ivory background. A rare composition, issued only three times since 1971, in exceptional condition with its original box. The ultimate summer carré.

“Feux de Route” is one of Cathy Latham's most elaborate designs for Hermès — a British illustrator who collaborated with the house for several decades and created some of its most collected carrés, including the celebrated “Les Clés”. The “Feux de Route” motif presents a poetic inventory of antique furniture and silverware — candelabras, globes, mirrors, columns — arranged as if in an auction room or cabinet of curiosities. Created in 1971, it was reissued only in 1982 and then in 1995: three editions in fifty years, making it a rare piece in the Hermès catalogue. This colourway of bright pink, sky blue and gold on an ivory background is one of the most sought-after for this motif — luminous and perfectly summery.

This example is in very good condition, grade A. No flaws to report — no stains, no odour, no tears or pulled threads. The silk is vibrant and the colours are intact.
