Annie Faivre is one of the most iconic artists in the history of the Hermès scarf. Her style is instantly recognisable: dense, intricate compositions, intense colour palettes and subjects drawn from civilisations around the world. “L'Art des Steppes”, published in 1991, is one of her most sought-after works. It depicts the horses of the Eurasian steppes — an emblematic Hermès figure — richly harnessed with Moghul carpets featuring complex patterns. An invitation to travel through the nomadic civilisations of Central Asia, told with the precision of an Oriental miniature.
