The Emily is one of the most accomplished models from the Frida Giannini period at Gucci. Its structured flap silhouette, its golden chain and especially its horsebit on the front accompanied by leather tassels take up the equestrian vocabulary of the house in a resolutely feminine and elegant version. Guccissima leather — full-grain leather embossed with the GG motif in all-over micro-relief — is one of Gucci's signature materials for small leather goods and bags: it combines the visual richness of the monogram with the resistance of full leather. In the large version, the Emily gains in versatility: it goes from office to dinner effortlessly, contains everyday essentials and bears the signature of the house with the discretion that characterizes the best bags.
