Hubert de Givenchy founded his fashion house in 1952 and quickly established a structured, sculptural elegance, far removed from any frivolity. The house’s jewellery follows this line — pieces with volume, presence and confident geometry. In the late 1980s, Givenchy, like the other great Parisian houses, produced high-quality costume jewellery, gold-plated and carefully crafted, often marked by celestial or geometric motifs reflecting the spirit of the era. Today, these pieces are among the most sought-after on the vintage couture market.
This long necklace combines a gold-plated thick-link chain with a large openwork star pendant of approximately 7.5 cm, with an organic, graphic shape. Its 87 cm length allows it to fall naturally onto the chest, with an immediate presence. Lobster clasp fastening with a discreet Givenchy hallmark. Good vintage condition — light signs of wear and light age-related oxidation, visible in the photos, give the piece its authentic patina without affecting how it looks when worn.
