Gavroche Hermès – Chasse en Inde Model

Designed by Michel Duchêne, the gavroche Chasse en Inde pays homage to Indian miniatures and the princely hunting scenes that inspired many creations by the House of Hermès. Its abundant décor features a multitude of animals, horsemen and elephants, delicately arranged amid an intricate floral tracery of great refinement.

The richness of the design reveals itself with every glance: tigers, elephants, monkeys, birds and figures intertwine in a particularly detailed composition, where each motif tells a new scene. The border, adorned with a frieze inspired by Indian decorative arts, frames the whole harmoniously.

This version combines a luminous coral with a golden ochre centre, highlighted by a khaki green border. A warm and original colour combination that showcases the fineness of the illustration while bringing great elegance to this small format.
