The Malice is one of those watches where watchmaking takes second place to jewellery. The case is reduced to a small steel disc, almost discreet, and the entire personality of the piece lies in the bracelet: a succession of flat openwork “D”-shaped links, connected by rings, giving the whole the rhythm and suppleness of a curb chain. You do not look at the time first — you see a steel chain on the wrist, and the time comes afterwards.
This version comes in stainless steel with a deep black dial, punctuated by applied baton indices and a numeral 12, signed Christian Dior Paris. The Swiss Made marking appears at the bottom of the dial, while the case back bears reference CD022110 along with the D1D3A and Water Resistant markings. The contrast between the bright steel and black dial gives the piece all its understated elegance: it works equally well with black, silver or gold.
The bracelet measures 16.5 cm in total length and will fit a wrist of up to approximately 16 cm. The watch is in working order and ready to wear.
Good overall condition, grade B- — the bezel has visible micro-scratches, documented in the photos, and the bracelet bears the wear micro-scratches typical of a worn piece. The dial is clean and the movement functional. No other major flaws to report. Sold with its box, protective cushion and RARR Vintage certificate of authenticity.
