A Lady Dior wallet in iridescent powder pink — the most desirable color on Cannage quilting. Compact, complete, signed by its four golden charms. The kind of piece that is not easily found in this condition and in this color.
The Cannage pattern is one of the oldest signatures of the Christian Dior house - it appeared in 1947 on the cannage chairs at the Rue Montaigne fashion shows, and Christian Dior quickly integrated it into its leather goods creations. The Lady Dior line was launched in 1994 and immediately became iconic, notably after being offered to Princess Diana by Bernadette Chirac during an official visit to Paris. Since then, Lady Dior accessories have offered Cannage in all materials and colors - including this iridescent powder pink, particularly sought after for its subtle luminosity and assertive femininity.
This medium wallet presents cannage lambskin leather in good general condition, with no major defects on the iridescent surface. The corners and edges show slight friction from use visible in the photos. The interior — bill pocket, coin pocket, card slots — is clean with slight signs of previous use. The four golden D·I·O·R charms are present and in good condition. Sold with Rarr Vintage dustbag.
