The Single Flap is one of the most enduring silhouettes in the Chanel wardrobe, a direct heir to the 2.55 designed by Gabrielle Chanel in 1955. The CC turnlock clasp, introduced by Karl Lagerfeld in the early 1980s, and the chain interweaving leather and metal are its instantly recognisable signatures. On this example, the quilting features a chevron V-stitch — a V-shaped diagonal that moves away from the usual diamond quilting for a more graphic interpretation, a variation the house offered across several collections, notably around 2015–2016. The slimmer Single Flap version retains a streamlined silhouette while keeping the hidden compartment beneath the flap.
