The Macadam dome is one of the most sought-after silhouettes in vintage Céline. Its rounded shape, often compared to a « Boston bag », combines two curved leather handles with a top zip opening. The bag stands upright on its own, does not collapse when half empty, and retains its shape whether placed on a table or carried on the arm. The Céline leather crest, stamped with the coat of arms, is placed on the front — a discreet marking that says everything without overdoing it.

The Macadam coated canvas is clean, with no major defects to report. This pattern of interlocking arches on a dark brown background is the most immediately recognisable signature of the historic Céline house, before the 2018 rebrand. The caramel brown leather details — handles, attachment tabs, shoulder strap, piping — have developed a beautiful patina over time, that warm, vibrant golden tone that only natural leather acquires with use and which gives each piece its own character.

The detachable and adjustable shoulder strap lets you switch from hand carry to crossbody in one movement. The hardware is gold-tone — rings, clasps, zip pull — and shows visible patina, notably on the pull (see photos), consistent with the age of the piece. The 29 × 22 × 11 cm capacity comfortably holds a phone, compact wallet, passport, AirPods, lipstick and keys.

Good vintage condition, grade B — clean Macadam canvas, light signs of previous use, slight rubbing on the leather. Patina on the gold-tone hardware, notably the zip pull. The interior is in good condition with signs of use. The bag will be delivered with its detachable shoulder strap, a RARR Vintage dustbag and a RARR Vintage certificate of authenticity.
