The Boston Macadam is the travel bag of vintage Céline. With its elongated cylindrical shape, two round leather handles, and a generous zip closure running almost the full length: it is the Parisian house's answer to Louis Vuitton's Keepall, only more understated. The Macadam — that pattern of interlocking arches on a dark brown background — doesn't shout the brand, it whispers it. It is a bag that travels first class without showing off.

With its 50-centimetre length, the volume is sized for a real getaway: four days of outfits, a pair of shoes, a wash bag, and a 15-inch laptop fit in effortlessly. It is a unisex piece, designed to be carried by hand, by both men and women. The caramel brown leather details — handles, vertical straps, corner reinforcements, Céline patch — have developed a lovely patina over time, each piece ageing uniquely.

The gold-tone hardware — rivets, loops, zip pull — is in good condition with a patina consistent with the piece's age. The Céline padlock, supplied with the bag, secures the zip closure during travel. The leather patch, stamped with the Céline crest, is positioned on the front between the two vertical straps.

Grade B- — the bag shows signs of previous use consistent with a vintage travel piece. There is slight rubbing on the corners and visible marks on the base (see photos). The handles are in good condition with slight signs of use. The interior is in good condition, with slight signs of wear and no major flaws. This is not a new bag — it is a bag that has travelled and is ready to set off again. It comes with its Céline padlock and a RARR Vintage certificate of authenticity.
