Founded in 1945, the Céline house built its ornamental vocabulary around the equestrian world — bits, horseshoes, straps and curb chains — a language that permeated the house’s entire textile production, from ready-to-wear to accessories. This bandana is a perfect manifesto of it: a wreath of meticulously drawn antique keys surrounds a central armorial medallion with tassels, while the border unfolds horseshoes, bits and chains in a soft, powdery palette that softens the entire composition. The choice of cotton, more matte and supple than silk, makes it an everyday piece: tied in the hair as a retro scarf, slipped around the neck in the opening of a shirt, wrapped around a bag handle to dress up a neutral piece, or worn as a belt over jeans.
